It's Pay Day
10 April 2005

Well imagine the Webstalker’s surprise when he answered the door to find 3 messengers from Wrestlingmark.com© World Headquarters. Flipper, The Saw, and Dave Padula (never noticed the ‘fro before) were kind enough to deliver my paycheck from the site. What a swell bunch of guys. Kind of inspires me to write a little something. Actually it was Mr Padula hanging me upside down out my window that really inspired me. Guess it’s time to start earning that check.

Now I would really be slacking off if I didn’t mention that this very website has been remodeled.  I can actually locate my columns now.  Of course I am still living in this little frame, but it’s pretty comfortable for a frame.  But seriously, as I’m sure you noticed, navigation is really easy now and the site has a clean modern look.  Nice work Mark!

(And keep those checks coming- next time just FedEx it)

So let’s take a look at some of the sites listed in the promotions area of Wrestlingmark.com.

Let’s start with Atlas Championship Wrestling.  It is a simple site, with very little content.  But I give them an encouraging thumbs up considering the internet has only been available in Maine for about 3 months.  Toss in the fact that Maine has to deal with rampaging hordes of Canadian wrestlers (or even worse, American wrestlers pretending to be Canadian) trying to sneak over the border makes it amazing they can get anything done up there.  So keep up the good work ACW and keep the generator running.

Next we roll over to MCW.  Ack.  Let’s move on.

Maybe we should look at World Wrestling Stars Alliance.  Now this site fascinates me because at first glance I can’t tell what it is.  Is it a promotion?  A fan site?  Beats me, but you have to love the fact they have a pic of a guy doing a Grand Wizard gimmick.  (Attention Flipper)

Zipping over to Rampage Pro Wrestling, it looks like they might be out of business.  Too bad.  Maybe their webmaster can hire himself out to some other site.

This is getting a little depressing isn’t it?  But there are still sites worth reviewing and next time, in honor of the Michael Jackson trial, I’ll be taking an in depth look at Ring of Honor and their website.

Not related to anything we are talking about but….

Nice huh?

After the sites we saw above, can we please look at some of the good things out there?  This site has been mentioned before but do not overlook it.  Wrestling Encyclopedia. The top 100 list alone can spur hours of conversation about why Jason Blade is not included.  Be sure to listen to the next “Sucking it up with the Saw” for this very topic.  Not that you asked, but my favorite Chainsaw show was “Jason Blade could have singlehandedly defeated the Tsunami if he was eating dinner in an Applebees in Sri Lanka   No, on second thought, my new favorite might be the current “Yeah that guy was a good pope, but he was no Jason Blade”

Oh, and if anyone would like a gmail account, drop a line.  And try firefox.

And since it features a guy in a wrestling mask, be sure to keep up to date with the latest Strongbad emails.

The immortal Kenny Casanova has a pretty entertaining site.  Now if only Kenny can scrape up the $6.95 to buy himself a domain name from godaddy.com….  Oh and speaking of which, take a look at those Candice Michelle “Hotel Erotica” vids over at…

My oh my, where has the time gone?  So much to say and such a little frame to say it in.  I guess I’ll have to hold off until next time.  But we have all learned an important lesson -  Wait until the dizziness goes away before you write a column.

Comment?  Suggestion?  I don’t really care but if you must…..  webstalker@sent.com

As usual I am 404’d
