Wrestling Mark:What made you decide to become a pro wrestler?

J-Silva: Ever since my dad took me to WrestleMania 2 at the Nassau coliseum in long island, I was hooked and I knew that was what I wanted to do.

Wrestling Mark:Who trained you and what made you choose them for your training?

J-Silva: Well I was working out in a gym in NYC and was wearing an old ECW shirt when this guy approached me and asked me if I liked wrestling and if I was interested in training. That guy was John Curse formally of team Taz. I went down to his school and started training and I loved it. I was trained by John Curse and Mike Mayhem. I also picked up allot of stuff from Larry Mckenny, Krusher Duggan, and T.N.T. I also attended a few clinics with Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat, Marty Jannety, The Iron Sheik and Captain Lou Albano. Now since Imp living in Rhode Island I have been training at a great school called Slamtech, which is run by Bob Evans. Chris Venom and K.L Murphy are also trainers at the school.

Wrestling Mark:How do John Curse and Bob Evans training styles differ?

J-Silva: They are both great trainers and both have so much knowledge about the business and I learn something new from each of them every time I see either of them.

Wrestling Mark:What is your training regime like?

J-Silva: I work out 6 days a week. Working 1 body part a day. Chest, back, shoulders, arms and then legs. On the 6th day I do all cardio.

Wrestling Mark:What wrestlers past or present do you enjoy watching?

J-Silva: From the past I love watching all the big bad guys such as Jesse Ventura, Randy Savage, Bam Bam Bigelow and Rowdy Roddy Piper. Now I enjoy watching pretty much everything.

Wrestling Mark:What do the Indies offer that other bigger feds do not?

J-Silva: Getting to be more involved with the fans

Wrestling Mark: What do you think of the current state of wrestling?

J-Silva: The current state of professional wrestling is probably very limited in my opinion. With WCW and ECW no longer existing, doors have closed for many wrestlers across the country, which isn't a positive thing. It hurts the business in a sense that it has put people out of a job.

Wrestling Mark:Do you feel as though this is a temporary thing or do you see the WWE as the only mainstream promotion in the long run?

J-Silva: I’m hoping that it is only temporary. I can see NWA/TNA becoming a major player in the game.

Wrestling Mark:What are the best aspects of the business?

J-Silva: Meeting new people and meeting the great fans. And leaving the building knowing that you entertained and touched a person’s life for at least a few minutes

Wrestling Mark: What are the worse aspects of the business?

J-Silva: I love everything about the business

Wrestling Mark:Most if not all your career has been as a heel, have you worked as a babyface and which do you prefer?

J-Silva: Yes I started off as a face ,Infact It was a very flamboyant face if you know what I mean. I Prefer playing heel.

Wrestling Mark:How did you come upon your present gimmick?

J-Silva: I just always loved the old 80s heels so when I had the opportunity to turn , I did.

Wrestling Mark:How did orgy of violence come about?

J-Silva: Vendetta and myself trained together and we just kind of had a sick perverted bond together so we decided to tag a few times which led to a title run in NYWC and It just kind of happened. The name I have to give credit to "Big" Steve Festa.

Wrestling Mark:What promotions are you presently working for?

J-Silva: I have worked for promotions around the East Coast such as: USA Pro, Wrestling World Wide, QWA, New York Wrestling Connection, ICW, and Long Island Championship Wrestling. All have been a pleasure to work for thus far. I am currently being booked on other shows, but waiting for definite confirmations before I list them here.

Wrestling Mark:Who have you worked for in the past?

J-Silva: USA Pro, Wrestling World Wide, QWA, New York Wrestling Connection, ICW, and Long Island Championship Wrestling and APCW

Wrestling Mark:Who do you look forward to working with here in New England?

J-Silva: Anyone who is willing to get in the ring with me (lol) But I cant wait to work guys like Psycho Mike, Chris Venom , K.L Murphy, Tommy Knoxville and Ruy Batello.

Wrestling Mark:How do you go about choosing a promotion to work for?

J-Silva: Internet lol

Wrestling Mark: Who are your favorite promotions and least favorite promotions?

J-Silva: Of all the promotions I have worked for thus far, I must say that there isn't any organization that I don't look forward to going to. In all the organizations I have worked in thus far, the people are great, the wrestlers are friendly, and the people running the show make it a
pleasurable atmosphere to work in. I look forward to working. One place I particularly look forward to going to each month is NYWC. The locker room is great, the people are very respectful, and I always have a great time when I go there.

Wrestling Mark:What is your opinion on hardcore wrestling?

J-Silva: Stupid

Wrestling Mark:How do you feel about backyard wrestling?

J-Silva: Stupider (Is that a word? LOL)

Wrestling Mark:What is your advice to say, a sixteen year-old kid who wants to become involved in wrestling?

J-Silva: DON’T DO IT !!! lol just kidding. First thing they should do is go out and find them selves a legit and safe training school . And if it’s your dream to become a wrestler then go out there and give 100percent and don’t let anyone stop you cause you only live once.

Wrestling Mark:We touched a little on training. What do you do when faced with a situation when the person your facing is not properly or inadequately trained? I know that if I was a worker and someone like Venom or Murphy climb to the top rope I’m relatively sure I would be ok, but I’ve seen some guys climb up and they scare the hell out of me. How do you handle a situation where you see someone attempting a move in the ring that they should not?

J-Silva: Its not my place to tell another guy what or what not to do. If its gonna affect me in someway I will tell the guy im working that I just don't feel comfortable taking that move or whatever the case may be

Wrestling Mark:What has been the highlight of your career up to this point?

J-Silva: Getting to be involved in a match with The Triple Threat (Douglas, Bam Bam and Candido) and getting to put the boots to one of guys who I grew up watching, Bam Bam Bigelow Was like a dream come true.

Wrestling Mark:Who are your favorite workers to work with?

J-Silva: Anyone from the NYWC where we all trained and are like a big crazy family. Some Names that pop up real fast are RuStar, Johnny Ova, Dan Barry, Dickie Rodz, Vendetta (My partner in crime) and Tyler Payne.

Wrestling Mark:Who in your opinion is the next big breakout star?

J-Silva: On the Indy scene be on the lookout for the name LIVEWYRE. In the WWE I think that John Cena is about to explode.

Wrestling Mark:Where do you see yourself in five years?

J-Silva: Hopefully owning my own restaurant and Having a good name and reputation on the Indy Scene. But for now you can check me out at
